I like Samurai Champloo. Anything else out there like it I might be interested in? I also like Blade of the Immortal (which I hope is in anime movie form?), and I'm sort of new to this... "anime" thing you kids are talkin' about.

Yes, I love Blade of The Immortal, too. You'll be glad to the manga is being turned into an anime soon, but I am unsure as to when, or if, it will hit America.

The game is only for sale used, now, but its also only $17.99. Should be pretty fun, I believe.

Since you like Champloo, make sure to look in to Cowboy Bebop, since they have the same director (he pretty much makes both of these shows, by the way).

For more Samurai action, check out Ninja Scroll, the movie or the series (they're both awesome).

I can't mention Samurai anime without mentioning Rurouni Kenshin, one of the greatest samurai anime ever. The Movies and OVA (Original Video Animation) epsiodes where actually liscensed by different people. So you'll see the series as Rurouni Kenshin and the Movies and OVA's as Samurai X.

The series is pretty awesome, and I cannot recommend it enough.

Indeed, although I like the manga better.

Alot of anime starts after its manga becomes popular enough (when the series has an anime, rarely it does not or gets its inspiration from a video game or other outside source), however, anime by nature can easily put one to three manga chapters into an episode, and it catches up quickly.

As was the case with Rurouni Kenshin (and many other long series, recently this happend to both Naruto and Bleach, hence why Naruto had filler for about a year and a half, and its also why the Bount arc existed in Bleach), after the Kyoto arc, the anime branches into filler. Unfortunately, popularity of the series dropped significantly do to this, and it was cancelled before it could go back into the actual storyline.

Because of this, the last eight or so volumes of manga never got made into anime (aside from a short cameo in one of the OVA's, which tries to, poorly, summerize the events with some changes to accomodate the running time of the OVA).

Thats also why I recommend to anyone that likes Rurouni Kenshin to check out the manga, too.

Some day, if I have web space of my own, I might upload some stuff for the cooler people here (manga, anime, whatever, really), since I have so much (I like to archive everything I download, its a sick habit, really).

It was done by T.M. Revolution. He also did some work for Gundam SEED and Gundam 00, as well as Darker Than Black, and D.Grey-man (with his band, Abingdon Boys School).

One thing that's definately gonna help get me into Anime is the artwork - my god, some of that stuff is just beautiful.

They definately put my stick figure Star Wars comic I made at 7 to shame.

Me and Heather are gonna start a sword collection when we get our own place. We're just fascinated with weaponry (but I stray into liking guns as well, where as I think she's just straight up into hack'n'slash), so we wanna have a room dedicated to... well... random stuff. My guitars/recording equipment on one wall, our computer stuff on another, then maybe a wall dedicated to swords and such.
