So I'll do it quickly now.

I started the process to begin my volunteer work at Sharp Hospital. Orientation was alright. 3 hours of information. Next came my personal interview with the head of the volunteer department. I as so worried he was going to think horribly of me since I went to orientation with purple, black, and a streak of white in my hair. So I cleaned up my hair, making most of it black (I was heart broken to change it, in case you were curious) and I dressed in the most professional outfit I could throw together. I did really well because he was ecstatic to meet with me, and seemed really impressed with my goals as a mother and a nurse (WIN!). We also discussed what areas of the hospital I was interested in working in. So we figured that initially I would be working in the ED (Emergency Department). It's a late night shift, which is great! So I'll be able to keep up with my studies and my responsibilities at home. SO EXCITED! So the remaining steps are to finish my health screening and to begin my training. YAY!
I figure once I get established after the first few months I can look into positions open at the hospital so I can get back to work at the end of the summer. Also exciting!
Loki and I are also pricing apartments to move into. Since I don't know which school he'll be starting at next school year I can't make any big decisions until June or July. As soon as I know where he'll be going, I can start looking for available apartments in that area. I'm really thrilled about us finally moving out. It'll be great for us to get out on our own and stop stressing out my parents.

This story goes back months. Ok, so, really, only a month and a half, but thats more than a month, so, months.

Incredibly looking forward to Final Fantasy XIII, I decide that even without a PS3, I can get the game itself from Gamefly for XBox 360. I often get strategy guides for games for various reasons. Mostly, I love how they look. Plus, someday, when I die, and all my shit is sold on eBay to some other collector so that my family can pay bills associated with my death, as well as keep something for themselves, I want them to be able to get quite a bit out of my stuff (which is also why I keep a list of my items and what they should sell for based on market prices. I update this list four times a year (Quarterly, every three months).

When Final Fantasy XII came out, I shelled out hardcore. Got the collectors edition game, and collectors edition strategy guide. I shelled out a Bill for both, plus gas money to get to Gamestop to get them. I also stayed up all night so I can leave at nine am and get to the mall in Eugene when they opened at Ten. I collected my Booty and was off back to my house. It was a hard decision to open these items. However, I wanted to enjoy them, so it had to be done. A friend of mine has a sealed collectors edition game somewhere, but he opened his guide, as did I.

The thing about the Final Fantasy collectors edition guide is the guide itself had six different covers for the actual guide, hidden underneath a overall guide sleeve. The character you got was random. I wanted Fran, but got Balthier. Interesting side note, while I was there I got a guide for my friend, which I paid for and brought back to him. He got Fran, but refused to trade me for it. He did pay me back for it, but it was a real douchebag move, considering I took the time out to snag the C.E. guide for him, since he was at work at the time. This person and I aren't really friends anymore, either. Still, hes a douchebag.

This time around, there is no Collectors Edition game, unfortunately, but there is a Collectors Edition guide. This guide is being described by many on the net who have it as the best quality strategy guide they have ever seen. Those're current statements, however, and have nothing to do with my story, which is in past tense.

Saddend by the fact that there was no Collectors Edition game, I looked forward to the Guide. I mean, come on, its either this or the $400.00 FFXIII Xbox 360, which I didn't really want, to begin with. I mean, yeah, its a collectors console, but its basically just a console with a FFXIII branded 250GB hard drive on a standard white console. Admittingly, the Modern Warfare 2 console is cooler (I know two people that have these, one in real life, and it is pretty badass looking).

I wanted to, initially, go through Amazon.com since I was currently using a preview of Amazon Prime at the time, so shipping would have been free, the guide would have been about 17 bucks. Unfortunately, I missed the order deadline. So, I went with the next best bet, which was Wal-Mart.com.

I got my order in on Feb. 28th, the day before I got paid. I figured, who cares. Not only is it a Sunday, but I get paid the next day. Also, its a Preorder item, they won't charge me until it ships in a week anyways.

Wrong. Wal-Mart charged me the entire price for the item when the order went it. So, the next day I had wonderful wonderful overdraft charges. Ironically, I had two seperate overdraft charges. I decided to alter my Gamefly account to a three game account to accomodate my FFXIII game. They decided to charge me a prorated $1.25. Ironically, my account was down to about a $1.14, since I got gas. So that 11 cent difference cost me 29 bucks. Then, Wal-Mart charges me, and not only do I have to pay for that, but a seperate 29 bucks for another overdraft. Needless to say I was pissed. However, not at my bank. They did what they could to try and accomodate me, but when it comes down to it, it was these companies faults.

Firstly, Gamefly said they would change my account on the next billing cycle (I changed my Netflix too, and they said the same thing, however, they stuck with it), but failed to do so. I got an email about the prorated fees I was charged on the day I got paid. Wal-Mart are just douchebags alltogether. Who the fuck charges for a preorder item before it ships? This is very odd and rare.

I paid my fees, and just decide that it was my fault for trusting others, and I am out 60 bucks, roughly, for it. Alls well until the 9th rolls around. Wal-Mart sends me an email to say my order is canceled and that my money was refunded. No specifics, but thats that.

GOD DAMN MOTHER FUCKING NERD RAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, that sums up how I was feeling. The guide is sold out everwhere, and its going for upwards of 50 to 60 bucks on Amazon.com and eBay. I paid 19 bucks at Wal-Mart. With shipping, around 25, which was a hell of a deal. One I would never see again. So, pissed, I decide to accept this issue, and order the regular edition guide from Amazon for 18 bucks, including three day shipping. This was on Wednesday the 10th.

Amazon sends me an email stating it'll be a few days until my item ships because it is temporarily sold out. "God damnit, will I ever get this guide?", were my words. Yes, I sometimes speak outloud to myself, wanna fight about it?

Anyways, Thursday rolls around dully. Although I was expecting a new belt in the mail (because I have to order clothes online, since my sizes aren't regularly stocked anywhere near me), which I ordered on the second and still hadn't shown up yet. My day was pretty boring after sending their customer service a very wordy email in regards to the situation. I ordered my last belt from then way back in September of 2008, and it lasted until now. Ironically, they order got messed up too, and I had to have them reship the item. The initial one was lost, but the replacement did show up on time.

Anyways, Thursday becomes Friday, as it generally does, and I decide to check my email. I get two emails from Wal-Mart. One of them is a five dollar ecertificate which I may or may not use. The other contains this:

Anyways, according to the tracking info, my book will get here today. This has been one of the worst experiances of my life, yet, I think this will be worth it. This book is supposed to be the most high quality strategy guide ever made, to this date. It'll be worth it, I know it.


I may or may not use that free gift card, if I find something, maybe, if I don't, maybe not.

Long story short. Justice was almost had. I am still out those overdraft charges, which pisses me off a lot. Sixty bucks is nothing to shake a stick at. However, I highly doubt Wal-Mart or Gamefly give a shit, so I am not going to bother with them.
