Lady Jinx

So, called the heads of the volunteer programs I applied to to check on the status of my applications and I notified that the orientations were fully booked until JULY at the earliest. Ugh. Of course they are. The month I planned on having everything almost, if not totally done is the earliest they can even begin working me into the program. *sigh* And it was just one hospital, but ALL of the hospitals that I applied to. I'm not sure what I'm going to do now. I was hoping to have the Summer a bit more calm considering all the conventions and events hat go on, and I'd really like to have a bit of time to visit those friends I haven't been seeing lately. Guess that might not be a possibility now.
I put a call out to my friends who work in any medical fields asking them to inquire about positions and any volunteer work at their work places. I'm also visiting with my counsler this week about any other options there might be for me. I also found an interesting Nurses Assistant program that I'm going to look into also. If I can log 1000 hours of applicable medical work experience I get more points for the admissions office. And make some money!
I'll work it all out I'm sure. I just felt like venting. And what better place to do that then my blog
