I know I haven't been around a whole lot recently but I'm TRYING fix that - I still love you all!

I should be coming back and goofing off but I have an ulterior motive this time:

THE MIDDLEMAN NEEDS YOUR HELP!

That's my friend Javi's new show based on his comic. It's very near and dear to his and my heart.

But it's not doing so well. We're kicking tail at itunes and XBox Live, but we're sucking at Nielsen and the official website.

I blog for the official website and they've cut back on blog orders to almost nothing.

So, if any of you have the time I would VERY much appreciate it if you would go to ABC Family: The Middleman - Official TV Show Website and just give them page views, comments (on blogs, videos, whatever!), hits - even if you've never heard of the show! Just need some numbers that they can look at, y'know?

No offense if you don't want to or can't do it - I TOTALLY understand.

I just REALLY want this show to survive and this is the only way I know how to even try to save it.

Either way, thank you all so much! I'll try to come back for REAL soon.

I wouldn't ask for help if I didn't really need it!

I like the Middleman. But, to be honest, its been about eight episodes now, and so far, its like the first season of Smallville. I've yet to see some solid plot advancement.

Don't get me wrong, comedy is good every now and then, but every epsiode is like the previous episode.

Starts out showing Wendy at home dealing with something. She gets called in to work. Something random happend somewhere random. She makes a nonsensical comment about it, gets a reposte from Ida, and a random comment from MM usually referencing something in his own past, either an experience he had related to the current situation, or something from Sensei Ping.

They go to deal with the situation, while Wendy tries to deal with her other situation (which usually involves lying to either Lacey, Noser, or both). While trying to deal with the other situation, Wendy is reprimanded by the MM for caring more about her own situation rather than the current situation which may or may not (usually does) threaten the peace of the World.

The situation is eventually delt with, and Wendy is left to deal with her other situation, which usually turns out ok because, as has been reinforced, Wendy and Lacey are BFF's. The episode is then wrapped up nicely with a moment between the two of them, or some more random conversation between Wendy and MM, usually with one or more riposte's provided by Ida.

Again, do not get me wrong, I like the show. But I honestly don't think it will be picked up for a second season unless it gets out of this "issue of the week" type thing, and starts showing some advancement of the characters development and relationships with each other, or an overarching plot (perhaps in regards to who pays the MM's salary, or some more backstory about the MM's of the past and such).

That aside, I will still support you on this, because I want MM to make it far enough for those things to happen.
