I sat down and watched an old Power Rangers episode, right? One of those innocent things that you wouldn't think too much of. But I was watching it and listening and I came to a shocking realization:

Current love for metal derives from the original Power Rangers

Think about it. It all started with the theme song. Speed metal. The bad guy themes? All metal. Listen to the original music, it was intense, all metal. It's badass. Just a thought.

Well there are different types of metal out there. The MMPR episodes definitely did have a nice metal track as an intro to the episodes. Heck...when I went to AX, I actually got to play the theme on GH2 as a custom song...quite a fun one too.

Old school Metallica I can understand due to Master of Puppets. Only other songs I've heard of theirs are One and Ride the Lightning so far. Decent songs IMO.

Yeah, between Ride the Lighting, Master of Puppets, ...And Justice For All, and The Black Album, that was Metallica at their best. I like there other stuff, but I prefer this stuff.

However, I've heard some of their new album, random snippets, mostly, but it sounds like their old stuff, so I am looking forward to it, a lot.

Im pretty sure old school Black Metal didnt get their inspiration from the Power Rangers theme song XD!!
But that'd be bad ass if they did. :]

Yeah, it'd be pretty cool if they did indeed. MMPR will always remain in my eyes the best of the series in Power Rangers. I did watch the expansions for awhile, but then they just started making too many of 'em so I lost interest. Last one I could actually watch was Ninja Storm...though I'll admit I like how they brought Tommy back for Dino Thunder.

But what were you doing at 8 years old? Listening to Metal? I wasn't. I was watching Power Rangers. I got into metal years later. I love older Metalica as well, but I think that it was influenced. I was thinking that the soundtrack of that is what gave me a deep seeded thought beforehand. Again, it was just a thought.

Actually, dude, I've always been into music. It comes from my grandmother singing to me as a baby.

When I was eight Power Rangers just started.

Every now and then I randomly still watch the show, but the last full season I watched was Dino Thunder, and, admittingly, just to see Tommy return as a Power Ranger. The last season I really enjoyed was Ninja Storm, because I thought Lothor made a hilarious villain.

Oh, and for full disclosure, I actually watched one of the series in Japanese. The one that was called Mystic Force in America. The Japanese version was SO much better, that I almost felt sick watching the american version. This is why I stopped watching the show. They change way too much. I was ok before because I hadn't fully realized this, but I did after watching that.
