You push aside how upset they've made you and just feel pity.

After someone has cheated on you, lied to you, and hurt you more than you thought it possible for any human being to do... you know you can't. It's not good for you, and that's what matters most: doing what's best for YOU. It doesn't matter if you were the "best thing that ever happened to [them]" or "the only one [they] will ever want" because ultimately they're being selfish.

I've realized this, and I've been trying to be strong. No going back now. I've come too far. Well, I know I can't go back. It's just late at night when I'm in my apartment alone, sitting in front of the window because I can't sleep... that I miss it. And I think to myself, what if I just went back? I feel like a recovered junkie debating buying a bag after too long of being clean to throw it all away. Love is a drug. Especially this kind.

Actually, my Ex and I get along fine. We're even in the same Guild in WoW.

Just goes to show sometimes it can be ok after the "big breakup".

you just have to stay strong...you can't go back... in the end all you will do is make it harder and more painful.

Its important to other things and try to move on...even if it hurts even if you want to go back...just move on..find thinsg to take your mind off it.. don't go back and stay from that jerk away.

yeah being "retarded" about it (which in no means is meant to be offensive) i've been in a situation like yours a couple times. But I should have listened to my friends even though I wanted them to be wrong becuase I was so retarded for this girl, well anyways good thing im over it but its a hard situation you should try to take a perspective from an outsiders opinion those are usually the most honest

Hind sight, after all, is 20/20. I want to say I wish I had listened to my friends, but I won't lie. I'm not particularly glad that I *didn't*. I made a decision and gained experience and wisdom from my choices. Sure it hurt like hell. For a long LONG time. Doesn't mean I won't take the chance (on another person) again. It's very interesting to go back and read things that I had written during that time. It's funny how sure we can be of one thing and only think in terms of absolutes only to prove yourself wrong in the end.

Most times when I mention things like that I get told to stop being a baby about it... but I'm trying damned hard to be tough... and it's easier when I know people out there have been through the same things and/or are supportive of me.
