I think perhaps it's high time for some advice to all the gamer guys from the gamer girls.
I figured I'd just come in and open the floor. Have fun guys.

Edit: More accurately I'm asking for assistance. Not just for me or any specific situation, but as I am in class for game design surrounded by a bunch of single gamers we need any advice possible and I am certain many others do.

I agee with the OP, this thread is a good idea.

However, from my own understanding, gamer girls aren't that different from regular girls, and are attracted to the same types of things.

i guess ill state my situation... i recently got in to a fight with a friend... i think of her as more then a friend but i dont think she sees me the same way.... but i ask her for a favor ingame... and she takes it as i used her to get what i wanted but i didnt... and i have done countless favors for her cuz i care about her... and so after our fight we havent spoken words for about 2 weeks... then she sends me a message like nothing ever happened.... should i still be pissed or am i being to stubbern?

Dude, this is kind of a difficult thread for people to respond to because there is no "Typical" gamer girl.

You'll find girly girls who like Gaming. Some of the girls on this site LOVE pink and frilly things and rock the guitar hero. But you'll also have more tomboyish girl gamers who hate anything pink and despise floral patterns. And then there are the girls in between, around, under, and not even related to those two categories.

Basically, girls are people too and you approach them as you would any of your guy friends -- tailored to their specific personality.

And this is something I've seen with guys and girls. Some types of people, especially when they're in an unequal relationship, will act irrationally to what's ostensibly a normal situation.

Having only heard your side, I have to assume this is the case. You basically have to weigh the alternatives. How often does stuff like this happen? If not much, forget it. Maybe it won't happen again. If it does happen often, you might need to talk to her - this could lead to an argument and more silence, but sometimes you have to put all the issues out on the table to sort through them. But you gotta figure out which to do.

Plus there could be other factors - did she drop it because she moves on quickly and has already forgotten? Or did she realize she was in the wrong, either on her own or possibly with some coaching from a friend? OR, if she's manipulative and evil - it could be part of her playing you. I typically like to lean towards people being good and not stooping to that - but it does happen.

ANYWAY, I know I probably didn't help much but there are SO many factors in a situation like this I'd be irresponsible to just blab out some random solution that would really only work in a very specific situation.

And Speaker is right. Game girls are the same as regular girls, they just have gaming as an interest. And obviously there are lots of different types of games. Some are into FPS games, some are into cutesy games, etc... Gamer guys can't all be grouped into one category, and neither can girls.

To what SRC Zenteczuken said, I believe she may have realized that it wasn't as big of a deal as it was made out to be and decided to avoid the situation. In this situation, thats the best thing to do.

Alot of people, myself included, have big egos and hate to admit wrongdoing (although, I do admit it more often than not, since I believe it takes a real person to admit when they're wrong about something), so, instead of pointing out ones wrongdoing, whomever's it may be, ignoring that it happend, and moving on would be the best thing to do.

Lingering on something like that may hurt the releationship you have with her. Also, what Speaker said ("Some types of people, especially when they're in an unequal relationship, will act irrationally to what's ostensibly a normal situation.") about the situation is some really good advice to remember.

Depending on how someones day went, they may react oddly to something that just seems normal, you know?

Trying not to make a big deal about it may be the best thing.
