well they have been talking about americanizing BR for ages

Actually, this movie IS inspired by BR.

However, they are actually doing a American remake of BR, but its in the early stages.

I stay up on news of that, because I wanna see how the American remake of BR would be done. >_>

i can see how this may use the idea of BR. But, it isn't exactly a bunch of kids. I mean c'mon, "Could you kill your best friend". No one is a friend in The Condemed. Anyhow, I wanna see if Austin's character dies. And if an american version of BR is gonna be made... i think it's already gonna suck, even if Kinji Fukasaku help direct it. nothing turns out good like the original
