Have any of you seen this show? It is awesome by far my favorite cartoon of all time. It's so sad it was cancelled and nickoloden(sp?) wont sell the rights to adult swim

I love that show.

Gir cracks me up.

Yeah, Jhonen got mad that it was being commercialized and overpopularized by Nickelodeon, so he simply stopped producing it. Kinda sucks.

I miss that show....

My understanding was that Nick pulled the plug not Vasquez. They thought it was too violent especially in a post 9/11 world.

Then after the fact since it became a cult classic Nick commercialized it at that pissed Vasquez off and he now hates the project. They say if you meet him not to talk to him about it since its a sore spot.

If EVER. I could permanently erase a phrase from human comprehension...it would be

"in a post 9/11 world"

Im sorry. 9-11 was horrific. We all know that. HOWEVER, it is not the ONLY terrorist attack that has ever been, nor will it be the last. I am so SICK of people twisting that fucking tripe phrase to suit their own needs (im referring mostly to politicans.) And as far as violence? I'm sorry, but I still see COPS and "the worlds most brutal car crashes" shows being aired. Christ on a cracker.

Sorry, Im a little edgy. Me no likey uber-sunburns.

Just using the phrase I heard used.

I was massively bummed when it was canceled and very pissed that it couldn't be picked up by some other network

i had heard that there was an argument over an episode that had buildings collapsing, which is what spurred the "911" comment... jhonen wanted to make it anyway and nick said no....

the issue with the 9/11 remark is its still a sensitive subject to joke about. I think Southpark puts it best it isnt funny till after 17.5 years
