All in all, an interesting episode.

Still wondering what Maya's power is. Oh, and they never showed Niki and/or Micah. Kinda disappointed with that.

YAY for late working!

And don't worry, they'll get to them. This show is notorious for forgetting about people for a few eps. Well, not forgetting...just not having room.

They hit on Noah and he's my fav. He's the goddamned Batman.

Typhoid Mary.

Then, the old people are "The Twelve".

There are other things I'm gonna rant about, but I'll wait until everyone has seen the ep.

lol
The new Entertainment Weekly has some "clues" I think. I haven't read the whole article yet because I wanted to watch the first episode first. :P But they talk a little bit about the new characters.

Possible [very minor] spoilers from EW about the new characters.

[spoil:5a63b1b3b1]
Dana Davis - Monica Dawson
Monica enters in episode 4 from New Orleans with an unspecified ability. She works to support her brother and grandmother (Star Trek's Uhura, Nichelle Nichols) and develops a bond with her cousin Micah (Noah Gray-Cabey). "She's a good girl with a good heart," says Davis (The Nine). "Her Life's been taken from her, and she's looking for a way out.

Kristen Bell - Elle
Described by Tim Kring as "a little unstable" and "a cautionary tale of what our Heroes could become," Elle has ties to the Petrelli clan, H.R.G., and Claire. "Elle has trouble knowing right from wrong. She holds a piece of Claire's future," says Bell, who admits, "Heroes was the watercooler discussion at Veronica Mars."

David Anders - Takezo Kensei
Yes, the pasty-skinned Anders is playing Hiro's childhood idol, who according to history books is supposed to be a noble hero. Except, in reality, "he is a drunk Englishman and a hired hitman, essentially," says Anders (Alias). But he does have powers, and when they're reveals, Kring says, "they'll have major ramifications for the entire Heroes world."

Dania Ramirez - Maya Herrera
In true "Wonder Twin powers - activate!" fashion, the abilities possessed by twins Maya and Alejandro work in tandem. Ramirez (X-Men: The Last Stand) was actually unfamiliar with Heroes when she auditioned, but got hooked when she did her homework. "I couldn't leave my house. My dog was looking at me like 'Please walk me.'"

Shalim Ortiz - Alejandro Herrera
As we meet Alejandro and Maya, they're on the run from the law, forced to flee the Dominican Republic due to the destructive nature of their powers. "We are harming a lot of people with whatever it is that goes on with us," says Ortiz. "We are on our way to the US so we can get answers. Our story starts with a punch."

More from the article:

Of course, with the first season now on DVD, fans can go back and judge anew. Or maybe Team Heroes can just promise us that they'll try harder. And guess what? They are! Kring and company realize that spinning a dense, complex, season-long saga put too much pressure on the finale to hit a transcendent crescendo. "The good news is that we've been able to learn from the mistakes and make the second season better," says Panettiere. The big adjustments: dividing the season into at least two separate sagas (or "volumes") and more episodes that focus on smaller groups of chracters like last year's stellar H.R.G.-centered "Comapny Man." Larter describes season 2 as "a weave, especially in the early episodes; we're introducing new characters and weaving in and out of old ones." Adds co-exec producer Jesse Alexander: "It was too much for the audience to invest emotionally in a story that stretched 23 episodes. Season 2 is more focused."

I'M EXCITED! I LOVED "Company Man". Mike's dad loved it too, because he didn't have to ask "who's this guy" every time they switched stories. :P
